the haunted jail

Drayton Hall Plantation....is lik the most haunted place ever...well i think so...

Well this tour guide site claimed the the old city jail was the most haunted which makes since bicause it is a jail. They say it held pirates, prisoners of war, notorious cerial killers, and slaves. It was used for 139 years and built in 1801. Also many have died from drowning in the prison when the tide rose up one time so high it killed everyone chained up. It is the most common haunting known that you can hear the chains being rattled by the trapped convicts drowning. Thats one I know personaly. Overal though downtown Charelston is the 2nd most haunted place in the u.s. Which also makes since because it is a old port where pirates roamed and slaves were sold.
