Hiya
My name's Debs and I'm from the UK. Been involved with PHs for about 23 years now (ooh that makes me feel old). At the moment I have two PH bitches, Rumour (Ch Serafin Phyllada) and Leela (Farao Anubis Qahira). I hope this forum gets up and running as we could do with a place to chat

| Hi Debs, Im Helen of Vicoridge Pharaoh hounds in Australia, I figured a forum would be great for Pharaoh lovers as sometimes emails are a tad slow, I am currently importing a dog from the UK he flies out on Nov 29th, falconine Kestrel bred by Jill Morris of anharbn UK and Wench Øivind Øverland of Al Mozel Norway, his dad is the famous xo spectacular spectacular and his dam is anharbn magic al mozel, I am so excited, My pharaoh male at home here is a serafin khamudi son. Do pass on the link to the forum to everyone you know as its great to talk pharaohs with others |

Hello
I'm Pam from the south of England. I have owned Pharaoh's since 1980. I currently have three bitches;
Kiera - Serafin Princess Aurelia - born June '95
Yonnie - Ankors Bajra - born September '99
Patti - Ankors Eset - born March '05
Tomorrow/sunday I will be taking the three of them to London for the Discover Dogs exhibition at Earls Court. They will be 'on display' in a breed booth.
Helen - Kiera's dam, Serafin Kashta (Zara) was Khamudi's sister. Zara died suddenly spring 2004 aged 11 3/4 - the youngest age I've lost a Pharaoh.
My longest living was Serafin Tal Mina (Becky) born March '83 died January '99. |

Hello and welcome pam, its sad when you lose them but she had a good innings didnt she, we have an ex pig dog here who is 22, thats a fair age for any pig dog let alone any dog if she makes it to 23 she will be the oldest dog in australia, she should as she still gets around fine and even gets a gallop up, she dosnt have a lot of her teeth though but she eats well.
Is serafin still going in the UK? I was of the understanding that the breeder passed on? not sure though but they have the lovliest temperaments, the breeder certainly got the temperament right. _________________ Helen Hayden

Unfortunately Fran Niven (Serafin) died June 1999 - just weeks after having heart surgery.
I have been on the look out for a show bred greyhound bitch pup for the last couple of years - Heard recently of new born litter that I plan to visit when they are 5 or 6 weeks old. The bitches frequently miss and fertility is low.
I also have pet rodents; currently 3 rats & 2 stripped mice. Might / probably will take on 2 un-wanted young Degus (lady phoned me today offering).
I work part-time (mornings) as a stock controller at nearby Tesco Express grocery shop so walk my Pharaoh's before work then again in the afternoon.
Last evening I routinely wormed my Pharaoh's when they had their supper - Patti was sick 4 hours after eating. That's the 2nd time she has re-acted to Drontol wormer - think I should try something different next time. ( I routinely worm my hounds 4 times a year)

Hi pam sorry for the lateness, I dont use drontal much on the pharaohs or my min pins I mainly use an australian generic brand brought in bulk, $50AUD for 100 tabs its called Fidos Closasole, I use this every 6wks as well as every 12weeks use a thread worm prep and every 3 months give a tapeworm tab from the vet, we live on the farm with many stock and wildlife and we hunt so it pays to be worm free and safe. _________________ Helen Hayden
